How to tune your search results by changing the indexing method.

Indexing methods can be changed to tune how search bar will look for results inside your website.

By default our engine try to guess the best method.

Indexing settings tab

General Settings > Indexing Method

Ignore no-index (On, Off)

This settings allows you to tell the Searchbar indexing motor that you want to index all the pages in your site, even the ones with the no index meta tag.

Page Scan Mode (Automatic, Crowler or Sitemap)

The page scan mode settings lets you configure how Searchbar choose between the Crowler or Sitemap.

What is a Crowler?
A robot that will scan you whole site and gets the indexable ones

What is a Sitemap?
A xml page that contains all your website links, that can tell which pages should be indexed.

What the Automatic option does?
Searchbar will guess what is the best method of them to provide better results.

Data Attainment Mode (Automatic, Content, Metatags)

Allows you to tell Searchbar how it should look for the title of the pages.

What is Content indexing?
Searchbar will look inside your html pages for the heading sections and guess the better options.

What is Metatags?
Searchbar will take only what's is inside your page meta-tags.
